Job Summary
The Electrical Foreman will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all electrical installation activities at the project site. The role includes managing electricians, technicians, and helpers while ensuring all work is completed according to approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and scheduled timelines.
The candidate will also be responsible for maintaining site safety, monitoring workforce productivity, coordinating with subcontractors and engineers, and supporting successful project completion.
Key Responsibilities
Site Supervision
- Supervise daily electrical installation activities on site
- Allocate tasks to electricians, technicians, and helpers
- Ensure work is completed according to approved drawings and specifications
- Monitor productivity and project progress
- Manage manpower distribution based on project requirements
Electrical Installation Works
Supervise installation of:
- Cable trays and trunking
- Conduits and wiring systems
- Power and lighting systems
- MDB, SMDB, DB, and control panels
- Earthing and lightning protection systems
- Low current systems coordination
Provide support during testing and commissioning activities.
Coordination & Planning
- Coordinate with engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and other trades
- Review drawings and identify site conflicts before execution
- Support project planning and manpower management
- Ensure material availability before starting site activities
Quality Control
- Ensure all electrical works meet project quality standards
- Conduct inspections before consultant approvals
- Rectify defects and maintain high workmanship quality
- Follow project specifications and engineering standards
Safety Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with UAE HSE and safety regulations
- Conduct toolbox talks and worker safety briefings
- Ensure proper use of PPE on site
- Report unsafe conditions or incidents immediately
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily work progress records
- Report workforce attendance and productivity
- Coordinate with procurement and store teams for material requests
- Assist in preparing project progress updates
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Technical Certification in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical construction works
- Experience in commercial, residential, or industrial projects
- Good understanding of electrical drawings and site execution
- Knowledge of UAE electrical and safety standards preferred
